Call me crazy–crazy about Omaha–-but don’t want to shop anywhere other than locally owned in this town. The idea of the money I’m earning being put right back into my community feels so right to me.
Remember when I gave you a guide to my favorite thrifting shops in Omaha? Today, I’m happy to take you on another shopping journey, but this time I’m stepping out of the $1 deals and into the higher-end boutiques that reside in Omaha.
Put your budgets aside and let’s go shop for quality, though maybe not quantity.
Located in the heart of Dundee, two sisters’ love for denim translated into a swell little shop that offers quality brand jeans. Now, I’ll be the first to admit–shopping for jeans is my least favorite item to shop for aside from bathing suits. However, this saloon o’denim really takes the pain out of it for any of their clients (At least that is how I felt walking into this place). I was greeted immediately and conversation flowed as if I were a good friend.
Already knowing they could take a special order of any jean I preferred before even stepping into the shop, it was also nice to see such an abundance of merchandise on the racks. The fear of wrong fits and bad colors seemed to vanish with one foot in the door.
The shop also started a little project to show the importance and quality of raw denim that I have followed from the get-go. Go take a look here.
Located at the Shoppes of Legacy (168th and West Center), with a slogan that caught my eye: “Established in 2006, Garment District Omaha offers Omaha shoppers a taste of New York.” Fashion that is inspired by the capital of it all definitely sparked my interest. I am talking, happy-birthday-to-me type of establishment. Why has it taken me this long to find this place?
Whether it’s a cocktail or casual dress, this store will be the next place I treat myself. The pieces were tailored to perfection so you could tell the buyers went to great lengths selecting the merchandise they carry. From peplum leather jackets to an assortment of contemporary dresses, I’m bound to ALWAYS find something here when I visit.
Located in One Pacific Place, this store is no doubt a form of expression (in terms of an ultimate wardrobe expression). It even carries bits of interior decor floating around the store that are also for sale.
