Lookbooks for Fall/Winter 2012 from all of my favorite clothing stores are filling up my inbox and hindering my ability to pick out an outfit every morning. I am fully and whole-heartedly inspired by all the new looks that 2012 F/W has to offer–I want to jump face first into layers upon layers of clothing that I have had quietly packed away for the last 4 or more months–but melting away from the last of the summer heat still lurking around our city is not an option.

I can’t help but get excited for the weather to change.  I’m ready for boots, socks, sweaters, cute hats, and yes, ladies, dare I say it? JEANS! I believe there is a shared love/hate relationship with denim in most women’s lives, BUT, I am excited to see a few fun things happening with denim this season. The mixing of patterns has been in the trend forecast for a few seasons now and denim is no exception to that rule. I am loving the abundance of patterned denim to choose from. I mean, take a look at these, this pair here, and don’t forget about this lovely pair here.

Here’s a look I intend to follow through with when the weather is cooler.

My Look:

  • Polka Dot Cardigan–Forever 21.
  • Yellow Top–Thrifted.
  • Floral Jeans–Nasty Gal.
  • Slouchy Hat–Anthropologie.
  • Leopard Shoes–Steve Madden.
